CHEREVICHKIOTVICHKI (Rus. Черевички от Bички) signifie «une chaussure de Victoria» dans la vieille langue slave, mais de manière ludique et enfantine.
L’histoire de Cherevichkiotvichki commence en Lituanie, où Victoria a grandi au milieu des vestiges de la culture soviétique et du soulèvement de l’héritage balte. Née dans une famille d’ouvriers d’usine, elle est devenue fascinée par le mode de vie utilitaire éteint et a nourri les souvenirs de son enfance, les transformant en une série d’objets de tous les jours – des chaussures.
La cordonnier autodidacte effectue de nombreuses recherches artisanat traditionnel entre son atelier à Londres et son usine en Italie.
Cela va de pair avec les techniques inventives de Victoria. « Focal one » étant la recherche matérielle et le cuir en voie de disparition, son récit évolue toujours au moyen de couleurs et de textures, en travaillant avec l’opulence de la palette naturelle de nuances de marron, de bronze, de blues blanc et de blancs.
Cherevichkiotvichki est une invitation cérémonielle dans le monde des fabricants: jeter un coup d’œil à sa jeunesse, visiter des terrains de jeux et des lieux à la recherche de secrets cachés, mais pas oubliés…

CHEREVICHKIOTVICHKI (Rus. Черевички от Bички ) stands for “a shoe by Victoria” in the old Slavic language, but said in a playful childish manner.
The Cherevichkiotvichki story begins in Lithuania where Victoria grew up surrounded by the remains of Soviet culture and the uprising of Baltic heritage. Born into a family of factory workers she grew up to be fascinated by the extinct utilitarian lifestyle and nurtured memories of her childhood past transforming them into series of everyday objects – shoes.
The self-taught shoemaker performs copious amounts of research empathizing traditional craftsman-ship between her London studio and the atelier in Italy.
This works hand in hand with Victoria’s own inventive techniques.
Focal one being material research and leather dying – her storytelling always evolves through the medium of colors and textures working with opulence of natural palette of shades of maroon, bronze, Klein-like blues, and always whites.
Cherevichkiotvichki is a ceremonial invitation into maker’s world: to take a peek at her youth, visit play-grounds and places in search of secrets hidden, but not forgotten…
